Dental Site Manager

Position Summary

The Dental Site Manager (Rural) is responsible for coordinating the daily functions of the dental center at Partnership Community Health Center (PCHC). In addition, the position is responsible for the creation and oversight of dental assistants and sterilization techs including their schedules and performance of general clinical administrative duties for support staff.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Collaborate with the Dental Services Director, providers, clinical and support staff to assure efficient daily functioning within the clinical setting.
  2. Communicate effectively with colleagues, within and outside of the Dental department, to promote patient-centered care and a timely billing cycle.

  3. Responsible for ensuring dental assistants are scheduled for appropriately with guidance from the Dental service Director.

  4. Monitor daily schedules to prioritize downtime duties for dental assistants.

  5. Responsible for the oversight of dental assistant training in coordination with the Dental Assistant Lead.

  6. Initiate and monitor dental location to ensure proper testing, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment is completed in accordance with manufacturer instructions weekly, monthly and quarterly by the Dental Assistant Lead.

  7. Order and maintain supply equipment/inventory for dental location in collaboration with the Dental Services Director and Dental Assistant Lead. Request replacement/supplies by entering information on the Supply list.

  8. Oversee proper disposal of hazardous and infectious waste per procedure.

  9. Assure daily monitoring of sterilization areas for cleanliness and efficient process per PCHC procedures are completed by the Dental Assistant Lead.

  11. Manage amalgam and biohazard waste control in coordination with the Dental Assistant Lead.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Able to earn and maintain BLS certification
